Sweet Activity

For Young Women in Excellence
we went with the theme of
Seek the Sweet

and we pretty much decorated the same, used her templates
and talking to the girls about the “Sweet” things they
are already doing in their lives, we also talked about the sweetness we find in the gospel, going to church, dressing modestly etc.

But
we did one thing different

We added an activity- our girls did not want to set up tables to display all of their stuff.
So we decided to have them participate in an activity

Each Young Women took turns standing at the board
and we invited everyone to come up and write something
they loved, admired or saw as a talent or gift
that particular young women had

It was an amazing activity for everyone involved

My very favorite part was watching the girls read what had been written of them
as you can see they just beamed.
This idea was originally found on pinterest

Though we did this activity during our YWIE
it is perfect to do anytime
it goes perfectly with Individual Worth
and
Divine Nature

What Theme did you all do this year?

We are doing a Valentine theme on the 13th. It's perfect timing this year, the day before Valentine's Day. We don't have access to our gym that night, so we are decorating our RS room, and having sugar cookies. We found some favors on Pinterest- rolo bombs (for incoming Beehives) and paint chip heart punch bookmarks, that we will hand out to the girls along with a foot charm for their charm bracelets to help them remember where they stand. Nothing too crazy!

Cute ideas- we are decorating using Valentine ish stuff too 🙂 and we were having it on the 13th as well but had to change the date- but oh well I think it will still work- I love the foot charm, so cute. I am guessing you meant to post this under the New Beginnings post for the cd give away? I will make sure you are included in that 🙂 thanks for sharing- I love hearing what everyone is doing.
