We can be Grateful
Be Grateful
“Everyone’s situation is different, and the details of each life are unique. Nevertheless, I have learned that there is something that would take away the bitterness that may come into our lives. There is one thing we can do to make life sweeter, more joyful, more glorious. We can be Grateful” – President Uchtdorf
Sundays lesson was awesome- “Why is it important to be Grateful”
The girls were asked prior to not ask for anything in their prayers for the week, to only give thanks and be grateful. During class they talked about how hard it was at first, but it got easier. They realized they were able to see more blessings as they expressed more gratitude. So our activity during the week was writing thank you notes to our bishopric and heart attacking their cars. We also gathered all the girls in a circle and gave one a ball of yarn and told her to pick someone in the circle and tell why they are grateful for that girl- then throw her the yarn ball (while you held the end).
This continued until everyone had a turn and it was simply beautiful. There were lots of tears and plenty of laughs, it was a wonderful activity.
