We Didn’t Start the Fire……

But we know how to put the fire out after our Fire safety class, that our 4th year girls put on for us.  It was a super simple activity with tons of information on how to put out fires.  We had four 4th year girls that went through and explained how fires work and what feeds them and then how to properly put the fires out.  They went through Grease fires, campfires, if your clothes were on fire and if there was a spark from a brush fire.  The girls did the research themselves but I also used http://www.wikihow.com/Put-out-a-Fire as back up. They showed through demonstrations how to Stop Drop & Roll, how to properly put out fire on someone else.  They also went through and demonstrated how to use a fire extinguisher using the P.A.S.S. method, which was a big hit.   While the 4th years were going through this information we had given the girls a bingo card and asked them to write down some fire related words in the squares. We finished the night playing bingo, eating smores baked in the oven and learned so much about fires.
